This large-scale video projection and live theatre performance opened at Frameless Immersive Gallery in London as part of the Festival of Communications with the RCA. This installation is based on Zamrock — a rock and roll movmement that took over newly independent Zambia in the 1970s. I had the pleasure of collaborating with award-winning producer and composer, Magnus “Mag44” Mando on the score and featuring the the voices of the surviving Zamrockers of the genre (Rikki Ililonga, Emmanuel Jagari Chanda, Patrick Mwondela and Shakarongo) as part of the score telling the story of Zamrock simultaneously with the live actor in the space. It was a meditation and expansion of the practice of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Critical Fabulation with a fragmented and forgotten history..
